Who we are

Drop Studios is a private DJ and music production studio in the village of Long Buckby, Northamptonshire. Hire the whole space to practise, record, stream or produce; learn to DJ or make music with one-to-one lessons; or have us produce, mix or edit for you.

How to find us

Just off junctions 16 and 17 of the M1 and 10 minutes from junction 1 of the A14, with free parking right outside. There's also a train station in the village, with trains to London Euston, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham and Liverpool.

I'm a fairly well known full-time DJ and run a record label. I have been coming to Chris for a long time to work with him after my friend who did the same hooked us up. I just don't have the patience or time to learn the ins and outs of production, but making music is important for my work. I come to him with a rough idea or a few samples and we hammer it out together. He isn't the most scientific producer you'll meet (he will tell you that), but has a very rare ability to know what works on the floor and how to make it different. I have even got him to tidy up music I am putting out on my label. Always a pleasure.
