This page explains what personal information we collect at Drop Studios, why we collect it and how we look after it. We only collect what we need to run bookings, lessons and enquiries, and we never sell your information.

Drop Studios is run by Chris Finke as a sole trader, at Market Place, Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, NN6 7RR. We are responsible (the “controller”) for the personal information described on this page.

When you send us an enquiry through our website form or by email, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and whatever you tell us in your message. We use this to reply to you and to arrange lessons or production work. Our website form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam.
Why we’re allowed to: you’ve asked us to get back to you, and it’s in our legitimate interests to do so.
When you book online, your booking is handled by Cal.com. We receive your name, email address, phone number, the session you’ve booked and your answers to the booking questions. We add bookings to our calendar and use your details to confirm the session, send reminders and contact you if anything changes.
Payments are taken by Stripe, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Revolut. We don’t see or store your full card details.
Why we’re allowed to: we need this information to provide the session you’ve booked. We also keep financial records because the law requires us to.
If your session includes a recording of your mix or work, we store the audio file and send you a link to download it. We keep recordings until you ask us to delete them, so you can come back to them later.
Why we’re allowed to: it’s part of the service you’ve booked.
The studio has CCTV cameras that record video (no sound). They are there to protect the studio, our equipment and our record collection from theft and damage. We tell you about the cameras when you book, and there are signs at the studio.
Footage is kept for up to 30 days and then automatically deleted, unless we need it for longer to deal with an incident. Only we can view it, and we only share it with the police, our insurers or our legal advisers if we need to.
Why we’re allowed to: it’s in our legitimate interests to protect our property.
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to see how people find and use our website, for example which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are. This doesn’t tell us who you are. If you reject cookies, we don’t use Google Analytics at all. See “Cookies” below.
Why we’re allowed to: your consent, which you can change at any time.
We don’t sell your information or share it for marketing. We only share it with the services that help us run the studio, and only as much as they need:
Some of these companies store information outside the UK, for example in the USA. When they do, they use the legal safeguards UK law requires to protect it.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
